Memories to Light

Elizabeth choreographed and performed in the film.

As a testament to the neighborhood’s longevity and posterity, Memories to Light, a film by Chet Canales, seeks to explore the lifeblood of Chinatown, and Asian American experience harnessing the power of art and culture to advance the social and economic recovery of the neighborhood, as well as the shaping of a more inclusive and just society. The film was debuted as part of the Neon Was Never Brighter Festival, the first-ever contemporary art festival in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
